Embecosm are attending BCS Open Source Specialist Group – Machines and Systems of past, present, future event

Jeremy Bennett and Mark Corbin will be speaking at the BCS Open Source Specialist Group – Machines and Systems of past, present, future event on Thursday 17th January 2019. This event is hosted at The BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, The Davidson Building, 5 Southampton Street, London, WC2E 7HA.

Jeremy will be giving a brief overview of his FOSDEM talk, discussing Embedded FreeBSD on a five-core RISC-V processor using LLVM. The talk will be examining the practical engineering steps need to bring up an embedded operating system where many of the key components are not yet fully mature.

Mark also will be presenting an overview of his FOSDEM talk and will be discussing Buildroot for RISC-V. The talk will examine differences between Buildroot and Yocto and the issues relating to the implementation of RISC-V Support.
